Across the nation, Jim Casey Initiative sites are helping young people make successful transitions from foster care to adulthood. We currently have official partnerships established in 17 states, including:
Our sites use a common Logic Model to improve policies so that young people in their state experience better outcomes. Since joining the Jim Casey Initiative, numerous states have made crucial policy improvements, such as extending foster care to age 21, extending access to Medicaid to age 21, providing tuition waivers for post-secondary education, and implementing sibling rights legislation.
Jim Casey Initiative sites also work directly with young people to improve their outcomes through the Opportunity PassportTM, which offers matched savings and financial education.
